Thread fittings / couplings (BSP):

• The so-called gas thread fittings or BSP fittings are in different versions available.
• The most current norm for the build-in dimensions of these fittings is the ISO 4144.
• In this norm the minimal dimensions are mentioned.
• Every producer is free to produce an own version with a minimal size value.
• Gas thread fittings can be produced of cast, rolled or forged materials, if the end product meets the needed test values.
• The thread is made according the ISO 7-1.
• Outside and inside thread can be conical with a 1:16 proportion.
• An exception on this is the inside thread of the nut.
• For this multiple thread norms are possible.
• The allowed pressure is depending on the operating temperature.
• The deviation is as follows:
  • -20° tot 40°C 20 bar
  • 100°C 16.5 bar
  • 150°C 15 bar
  • 200°C 14 bar
  • 220°C 13.5 bar
• The standard package of S.K.S. consists of 2 possibilities.
• These are fittings produced of cast materials or forged materials.
• Besides a difference in quality, the forged fittings are deliverable with 3.1 certificates.

Material:

• Standard the parts are delivered in stainless steel 316 (cast) or 316Ti (forged)

Tolerances and specifications:

• ISO 4144 (Threaded fittings), ISO 7-1 (conical thread), ISO 228-1 (cylindrical thread) and ISO 6708 (tube fittings and dimensions).

Versions:

• The bends, tees reducers or end pieces can be provided or an inside thread, outside thread, weldable end or with hose connections.
• The thread can be conical or cylindrical.
• The couplings are deliverable with a conical sealing, or a flat sealing wit a PTFE seal (gasket)

Certificates:

• 3.1 certificate according EN 10204 is only possible on the forged materials
