DX Steel cable DIN 3055 6x7 + 1 rope core galvanised with PVC sheathing is not suitable for hoisting purposes. The steel cable is a relatively stiff cable. The PVC sheathing provides extra protection against weather influences and prevents the cable from damaging objects in which it is used. This cable is therefore widely used for

- DX Steel wire rope DIN 3055 6x7 + 1 TWK, zinc plated PVC sheathed consists of 6 galvanised strands of 7 steel wires wrapped around 1 rope core.
- The cable is sheathed with transparent or red PVC sheathing
- The cable is relatively stiff and is supplied on reels of 50 and 100 metres and on bundles of 25 metres
Application advice
- Safety comes first when applying steel wire ropes
- The place and manner in which the steel wire rope is used are important aspects that must be taken into account
- For a safe application (Safe Working Load), the maximum Minimum Breaking Load (MBL) should be divided by the safety factor of 5.

Alternative
This wire rope is also available without PVC sheathing. For a more flexible steel wire rope, the 6x12 + 7 rope cores may be used.
