• Molar mass (molecular weight) of approx. 4,500,000 g/mol.
• Among all ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene types, PE HD1000 offers the best balanced property profile.
• This material combines excellent wear and abrasion resistance with exceptional impact resistance, even at temperatures down to -250°C.
• Main areas of application: general machinery and equipment construction, bottling, filling and packaging machines, chemical and electroplating industry, cryogenic equipment, textile industry and storage and transport systems for powdered starting goods.
• PE HD1000 R (PE-UHMW) (black/green)
• Molar mass (molecular weight) of approx. 4,000,000 g/mol.
• Compared to PE HD 1000, this material, consisting partly of recycled HD 1000 raw material, exhibits a lower property level and is more economically priced. However, PE HD1000 R possesses much better impact and abrasion resistance than PE HD500.
• Main application area: all kinds of material handling equipment.
