Clamex S-18 is a removable connector for the Lamello system and is screwed into an 8 mm wide groove. With its minimalist operating opening of 6 mm, Clamex S-18 is powerfully connected and released via a lever, similar to an eccentric connecting fitting. Clamex S-18 is highly aesthetic thanks to its small operating opening of only 6 mm diameter and allows almost completely concealed connections. Glue is not required. Aesthetic joints are possible at all angles and it is ideal for fixed or dismountable joints. The Clamex S-18 requires an 8 mm-wide groove, which can be milled at milling depth D (15 mm) and can be done with any Lamello grooving machine. With the 8 mm-wide Clamex groove router, it can be done in one milling operation. With the standard milling cutter (4 mm), two milling operations are required, with the second milling operation being offset by 4 mm using an insert plate. A drilling jig is used for the access hole, which allows the hole to be drilled at all angles from 22.5°-180°. Next, the removable connector is inserted into the workpieces and secured with two standard screws. Finally, the two workpieces are connected with an Allen key. Waiting for the adhesive to dry is thus not necessary and an assembled workpiece can immediately be further processed or prepared for shipment.
