Product description

OK 63.30 is an extra low-carbon stainless steel welding electrode with a rutile-acid coating for welding austenitic stainless steels of the 18Cr12Ni2.8Mo (AISI 316L) type. The electrode is also suitable for welding stabilised stainless steels with a similar composition, except where the full creep resistance of the base material is required. Thanks to its easy ignition and re-ignition, stable welding arc and self-extinguishing slag, smooth welds with an excellent finish are achieved.

  • Rutile-acid stainless steel welding electrode for austenitic stainless steel
  • Classification AWS A5.4 E316L-17 / EN ISO 3581-A E 19 12 3 L R 1 2
  • Suitable for 18Cr12Ni2.8Mo (AISI 316L) and comparable stabilised stainless steel grades
  • Extra-low carbon content for high corrosion resistance
  • Easy ignition and re-ignition
  • Self-extinguishing slag and a smooth weld appearance
  • Suitable for welding with AC and DC+

OK 63.30 is used for welding stainless steel structures, tanks, pipework, chemical plant and maritime applications where a corrosion-resistant weld joint with molybdenum-containing stainless steel is required.
