Product description

OK Autrod 5183 is a solid aluminium MIG welding wire of the AlMg4.5Mn0.7 (ER5183) type. The wire has been developed to achieve the highest possible strength in the welded condition when welding AA 5083 alloy and similar aluminium alloys with a high magnesium content. The alloy is primarily used in marine and structural applications where high strength, good notch toughness and excellent corrosion resistance are required. The wire is not recommended for high-temperature applications due to its susceptibility to stress corrosion and is not heat-treatable.
